ETC and EPAY were pioneers in testing the automatic check-in solution, connecting with the national population database at terminal T2 - Phu Bai airport, aiming for the official operation of the entry port on the occasion of April 30, May 1 and Hung King's Commemoration Day, as well as deployed at other airports nationwide.

With the Smart Check-in solution, all passenger information will be linked to national population data in accordance with Ministry of Public Security Project 06, and image recognition will be used to authenticate passengers while querying 'boarding pass' information to match flight numbers. Previously, each traveler required at least 15 minutes to complete the processes; currently, each contact point takes only 6-8 seconds. Testing Smart checkin during passenger check-in not only reduces personnel and check-in time, but it also improves the efficacy of airport security systems and provides effective support for specialized activities.

ETC offers Smart Check-in as an entirely new experience for pre-boarding operations, utilizing face recognition technology and correct information authentication capabilities.
ETC and EPAY are the units that have signed an agreement with the C06 Ministry of Public Security to use the national population database in the process of verifying information, which allows Smart Check-in to turn all visual security check procedures into automatic information comparison with direct image authentication, and compare information on identification documents with citizen information. at the national population data center.

Only with a citizen ID card can passengers check-in instantly, ship luggage automatically, check security, and board the plane entirely using face recognition. When information is validated on various platforms, Smart Check-in delivers an easy, quick, and exceptionally accurate experience.
Passengers place their identity documents into the scanner for citizen ID and passport after automated check-in. The system automatically compares the customer's image to the image on the identification document, and the passenger's information is immediately extracted and checked with the national population data center, ensuring accuracy and integrity. The system also queries boarding pass information to match flight numbers and authenticate passengers.
From now on, passengers will now be able to use face recognition to complete all following processes.
